Weigh-in | Week 9

whoops

Starting weight| 352 lbs

Current weight| 317.6 lbs

Week 9 change| + 2.8 lbs

Total loss| 37.2 lbs

Womp, womp

note: I’m updating from my iPad at a meeting like any professional would do

Let’s play good news/bad news

Bad news: I’m posting a gain this week. Not a surprise to myself or any regular reader. Not bumming about it but I’m not happy with it. You’ll see it different next week.

Good news: At a Dr. visit this morning, the nurse asked about my weight loss since my last visit. That’s the first time anyone has noticed and asked since I began. Also, BP is out of elevated range and back into a healthy rate—especially for my BMI. I used to use this as an excuse to ignore obesity, but now it’s an encouragement to bring all my other “numbers” into healthy ranges.

Week 10 will be a win.

  1. I like the good news…makes the bad news seem not that important.

  2. Hooray healthy BP! Like Adelyn said – healthy BP is way more significant than a weight gain this week…especially when we all know that gain is just temporary.

  3. I would have to agree that your health is most important! That’s Great news!

  4. Hi Chris! I’m glad you have good news about the internal numbers. The weight gain is because you’re goofin’ off with your food.

  5. Gaining weight always sucks, but awesome that you got the great news about your BP to compensate. Hooray for a healthier Chris!

  6. it’s a wonderful feeling when somebody notices and better BP is also a great news…

  7. Student nurse here says fantastic job :) Kick ass next week!!

  8. I usually struggle with sticking with it a few months in when I “goof up” with my eating and have a gain. Thanks for the inspiration to stick with it and bounce right back. Congrats on the lower BP! I’m hoping to stick with it and see the same next time I go to the dr. :)
